“Small footprint” is code for a lean, nimble production team that doesn’t take up a lot of space. Since I usually shoot alone, I’ve been able to get in and out of just about everywhere.

When Jane Metcalfe, co-founder of Wired Magazine asks you to fly to the Bahamas to sequence the genome of the world’s best free diver, you say yes. At least I did. Traveling solo with five cameras, I met Rodrigo for the first time the day we both arrived and the rest was magic. Visibility in Dean’s Blue Hole was poor due to a recent hurricane in the area.
